One of the most interesting aspects of my job as a marketing leader is to have ongoing dialog with some really smart people. It’s stimulating to gain insight into market trends, develop deeper understandings into what our potential customers are thinking and increase discussion of the transformative elements of the communication market.
One group of especially smart people I work with on a regular basis is the market analyst community. I’ve worked with many of them over the past few years here at Empirix, as well as in previous positions. I enjoy when we can share with one another our views on the state of the technology world.
It is interesting to note that over the years, little has been published in the analyst community about the space in which Empirix moves: communication quality assurance. However, as you can see on the main page of our web site, Gartner recently issued a series of reports on predeployment and postdeployment assessment for unified communications. It’s great reading, filled with meaningful insights as well as findings and recommendations regarding those topics. In addition, it’s interesting to read about the various other companies who compete in the space.
Along with providing tips on pre- and post-deployment assurance for UC, Gartner compared the strengths and weakness of the vendors serving this market. In Gartner’s Vendor Landscape for Predeployment Assessment and Testing for Unified Communications, Empirix showed complete coverage of predeployment assessment and testing for UC, Postdeployment Health Monitoring of UC and Postdeployment in-Depth and Packet-Level Monitoring of UC during the UC technology life cycle. It is my view that for the best results, a comprehensive pre/post deployment assessment strategy and methodology is critical to ensuring business goals.
